Go camping

Camping can be a great fun. There are a few things you need to do to make your trip a safe one, though.

*Always tell a family member or friend where you are going and never go camping alone.

*Choose your campsite carefully. You can't camp wherever you like. Check for sings of animals and insects. You don't want to wake up on an anthill, do you?

*It can get pretty cold at night too, so remember to pack some warm clothes.

*Always take matches with you when camping, but make sure you build a proper campfire. You can't make a fire wherever you feel like.

*Have a flashlight to see at night and a waterproof tent and sleeping bag in case it rains.

*Never drink water from rivers. It can make you sick.

*Take a map, a compass, you cellphone, and a whistle with you. They can be a great help in case you get lost.

*Protect yourself against mosquitoes and other bugs. Have a good insect repellent with you.

*And remember, never go camping without a first-aid kit. It can be a real life-saver.
